Euroclusters for Thriving Creative and Cultural Industries

Up/Re-Skilling | Development of international educational programs

In cooperation with the Baltic Audiovisual Archival Council (BAAC), Meno Avilys contributes to the creation of the digitization strategy for Ukrainian audiovisual archives. Together with our partners, we have developed a program that meets the challenges the sector is facing and not only helps in honing the necessary skills but also allows one to get acquainted with various international practices.

The aim of the project is to expand the organization’s package of international educational programs and expansion into new markets by:

  • Developing a new training program for Ukrainian film archive managers, focusing on preserving audio-visual cultural heritage and preparing for the creation of a unified national electronic library of Ukrainian cultural heritage. This project will be executed with the assistance of an external expert from the Baltic Audiovisual Archival Council (BAAC).
  • Providing access to international expertise and best practices in audio-visual archiving and preservation. This initiative aims to facilitate cultural managers in learning from the experiences of other countries and implementing best practices in their work.

The project involves conducting market analysis and gathering feedback from managers of audio-visual archives, conducting meetings with representatives of Ukrainian organizations involved in cultural heritage preservation, drafting a training program, selecting and engaging with an expert from the archive, and hosting a 2-day online seminar with representatives of Ukrainian archival organizations.
